HOW DOES THEOFILS HANDLE PERSONAL DATA?

As a customer of Theofils AB, you have the right to know what personal data is stored, for what purpose, and how long the data is stored, among other things. We follow GDPR, and below is the information you are entitled to.

BACKGROUND 
We primarily process your personal data to fulfill our obligations to you. Our principle is not to process more personal data than necessary for the purpose, and we always strive to use the least sensitive data.

When you register as a customer and/or shop with us, we automatically store your contact information in our business system. Based on the fact that you have shown interest, we may send you marketing materials, both digitally and sometimes printed. Of course, you can always choose to opt out of mailings, and this will be respected immediately.

HOW DO YOU OBTAIN PERSONAL DATA ABOUT ME?
The information we receive about our corporate customers is collected when you register as a customer with us. We also receive information if a person signs up for our newsletter or if someone orders a catalog. Private individuals who shop with us do not create an account, but the personal data linked to the order is stored for 7 years based on the legal grounds of the Accounting Act. If you have been in contact with one of our salespeople, this may also be a reason for us to store personal data linked to an interest, agreement, or similar.

IS THE DATA HANDLED BY THIRD PARTIES?
We guarantee that personal data is not disclosed outside our organization, except to data processors who handle our operations and data security. This is regulated through data processing agreements. The data is also not transferred to third countries or international organizations.

WHEN IS THE DATA DELETED?
Personal data linked to companies is deleted two years after the last purchase, except if we believe there is still an interest from the customer to remain in our register. A delay of up to 6 months of the above may occur until automatic deletion can be carried out..

As an account holder with Theofils, the Customer has the right to:

– Receive a report on the data Theofils processes about the Customer
– Request correction of incorrect data
– Have their data deleted (provided that Theofils does not have the right to retain the data based on other legal grounds).
